Out of the Hat - News from the Lady Principal

Welcome to the start of Term 2. Hopefully the girls had a relaxing holiday and are ready for another busy term. Holiday activities included hockey and netball festivals, swimming championships, community outreach in Geluksberg and a horse trail through Lesotho. Sports results will follow in the Hat Chat blog in due course.

Welcome to staff
We welcome Carlien Walters (Drama) and Lee-Ann Chapman (Grade 5) to the Junior School staff; and thank Frances Salisbury for teaching Aileen Metherell’s classes for two weeks while she continues her recovery from a back operation.

Diary Reminders:
Market Day1 May – we look forward to seeing you there; remember to access Quicket – click this link to buy tickets for your children to go on the rides.
Antigone7 May to 9 May – school play directed by Antony Lovell
Wednesday 8 May – Election Day - Normal school day
Funk performances – 17 May to 22 May

Campus Access by vehicle (as per my letter at the end of Term 1)
With the increase in the number of parents driving into the school to drop off their daughters in the morning, concerns have been raised about pupil safety, especially the safety of the Junior School girls. In light of this, parents will no longer be allowed to drive into the school in the mornings. Girls need to be dropped in the parking areas outside school and walk in.

Boarder Parents will be allowed to drive in on a Monday morning and Friday afternoon to drop and fetch boarders, provided you have the necessary car sticker displayed.

I hope everyone enjoys a happy and productive term.

Lady Principal
