Grade One visit Cordwalles Environmental Centre

Our adventure started with a trip on the school bus. On arrival, the girls were paired with boys from Cordies and eagerly set off on a nature scavenger hunt – which included the dreaded “Blackjack Attack”.

The girls had to collect dry leaves and twigs which they used to build a fire, and if that was not exciting enough, they even roasted their own marshmallows - undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. As Faatima Essa wrote, “At Cordwalles the best thing ever was roasting marshmallows. That was so good it was a little bit burnt but who cares well I don’t. I like it. It was so good.”
